I want to recreate a lost photograph from memory.

I think it was eight-by-ten, but my hands were probably smaller then.

I was eleven and it was taken in a photo booth where you could choose from a list of celebrities to have superimposed in the photo with you.

It wasn’t very realistic.

 

There couldn’t have been many people to choose from because I chose WWF wrestler, The British Bulldog—real name Davey Boy Smith. He wasn’t even in my top ten favourite wrestlers.

 

In the photo I am showing teeth and wearing my mother’s Suicidal Tendencies baseball cap. I doubt that she realised Suicidal Tendencies were a thrash metal band, her hockey mates had bought the hat for her as a joke because she had tried to commit suicide once. Hilarious.

 

My top 10 favourite wrestlers are: Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, The Undertaker, Bret the Hitman Hart, Legion of Doom (tag teams count as one), Macho Man Randy Savage, The Bushwhackers, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Jake the Snake Roberts.
