Collaboration between Welsh artist Aled Simons and Portuguese artist Inês Brites.

What would happen if the highest point of two countries made love and had a baby? A 2007 Ford fusion as a fossilised orca: an exhibit in an imagined museum at the end of the world. Smoke machine and sound system in the footwell, playing the sound of artists making relaxing whale noises; umbilical speaker cables connect to the mountain, made from military style tent canvas, like emergency shelter gone wrong.

 

'Rat Trap x g39 will generate new collaborative artwork by artists from Wales, England and Portugal. Mystery artists will be paired up - ‘blind date’ style - kicking off their collaborations with public candlelit meals and finishing with an end of residency exhibition party.'
